PRAYER

I want to take a few moments to talk to you about this kingdom of heaven. If you don’t know the story then it is hard for you to appreciate and gain respect and love for the Kingdom of God.

I like to take you back to a point in time; it was a dark night some 2000 years ago they were in a garden praying and men came in and took my lord and savior. The Story Begins Here.

Armed men came and accosted him, they took him to his accusers and began to humiliate him, there were those that spit upon him, while others slapped and cursed.

It reached a point when they began to beat him, oh I need to tell you that beat him so bad his own mother didn’t recognize him. They weren’t satisfied with beating him, but they got the cat of nine tails out and beat him till the flesh rolled of his skin.

You would think that would have been enough but they weren’t finish. They made a crown of thorns and placed it upon his head, they paraded him through the city to a place called Golgotha.

It was here that they believed they were going to do the most damage

But I need to tell you it was here that the most damage was about to be done on them.  So they laid him on a wooding cross and nailed these spikes through his feet and hands. And they stood this wooden cross up in the middle of the day.

After a period of time he gave up the ghost and left his physical body and took his spiritual body into the depths of hell to do battle with the most beautiful angel that God had created. Jesus arose victorius over Lucifer and arrived with the keys over life and death.

He didn’t come back looking like something that just escaped death or someone from the walking dead, nor did he come back bruised and batter. No he came back in the spendor and elegance of the kingdom of God, a bright radiant light shined upon him. And he descending upon mankind, not hiding nor being in fear of what they could ever do to him again.

You see this is what they didn’t understand, when he arose he bought the kingdom of God with him, he bought an inheritance for you and I.

He bought back something that no one would ever be able to take away.

SALVATION         SALVATION         SALVATION

Luke 15:11, Prodical Son    Intro

For the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Each and every one of us has been giving our inheritance.

We’ve grown accustom to thinking that the inheritance that the prodical son received was one of gold and money. But I am here to tell you that the inheritance that each and everyone of us was giving is the inheritance of the kingdom of God.

This inheritance is not of a material nature but of a spiritual nature.

What have you done with your inheritance have you squander it like the prodical son, has your sinful life gotten the best of you, have you found yourself at a stage of life that you feel you are at the end and you know you could do better in your fathers house.

Sometime we get so deeply involved and in grained in sin that we cannot see a way out, we believe that we are to far gone and there is no where to turn and no way to get out of the drama, situation or life that we are living.

I am here to tell you that all that is a lie, that is your mind playing tricks on you. You can get from up under whatever it is that is keeping you bound.

I am here to tell you that there is victory through the kingdom of God, that there is peace in the kingdom of God, there is joy in the kingdom of God, there is love in the kingdom of God.

Whatever you are dealing with, and you been thinking that situation is to big think it no more.

The word of God teaches us that the: that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. Luke 15:7,

  Luke 17:20-21            CLOSING

20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: 21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

This is our birth right Jesus paid the price some 2000 years ago

We are heirs to the kingdom of heaven, it has be given to us to receive. God only ask that we be obedient and follow his lead, and if we do that then there is nothing that he would not do for us.
