How effective is your faith

Passage: Hebrews 11:6,Psalm 37:4,Mark 11:24,Acts 1:5

HOW EFFECTIVE IS YOU’RE FAITH

Let’s give God some Praise!

How effective is your faith? There are many popular verses in the bible that speak to faith. Some of the things that we have learned when it comes to faith is that having faith is a requirement of serving God, because without faith it is impossible to please him.

Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

The very first thing for any of us that want a relationship with God is to first believe that he is God. Let me sort of break that down, you have got to believe that He is Real! That God actually exist, there cannot be any doubt in your mind about the God that you are placing you faith in.

This may seem like the most natural thing for any person to believe, but truth be told there are millions of people that don’t believe that the God that is reflected in this book is real. That he is all powerful and all mighty, that he is the alpha and the omega. There is a reservation of doubt in the existence of their mind. It is this reservation that lingers in the mind that causes man not to receive all that he can from God.

I need to harp on this just a little bit. The last part of that verses says he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Let’s not get obedience confused with seeking him, because there is a difference. For the vast amount of people that belong to churches and attend services there is a commitment to God to do the things of God. There is something in them that tells them they need to be committed to God and be decent law abiding people.

So they grow up and live their lives with a respect for God and a commitment to live for God.

But that commitment to serve God has not yet translated into a commitment to diligently seek God.

That diligently seeking God is what separates the haves from the have not’s. I need to tell somebody that when you want to have then you need to diligently seek after God. I am talking about a relationship and a communication with God.

What type of relationship do you have with God? How is the power of God demonstrated in your life?

You see when you diligently seek after God to have God as your personal friend, your confidant, your all and all, when He is everything to you, there is just something that is different about your relationship with God.

When you begin to seek God, you begin to seek after the manifestation of the power of God in your life. You come to a different understanding about God, you begin to recognize that faith brings about authority and power. You have got to want that authority and power. You have got to want that type of relationship with God. It is not enough to be committed to God. You have got to begin to seek God on a level that you never knew existed.

Because these following verses you need to believe in them with authority that has come through the baptism of the Holy Spirit. It is this baptism that gives you the power to enact the things of God, it is this baptism that God implores us to diligently seek after.

You already have the commitment, now it is time to get the power.

Psalm 37:4 (KJV)
4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Mark 11:24 (KJV)
24  Therefore I say unto you, What things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

John 14:14-17
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

We have heard these verses over and over in our lives, we say them and we even say we believe them, but yet we do not see the manifestation of them in our lives.

The reason why there is no manifestation is because we have not yet cross over to the next level.

I need to tell you that there is power in the Holy Spirit. If you want the power of God, then you have got to seek the power of the Holy Spirit in your lives.

The problem that most people have is that they are satisfied with only having the gift of salvation. Why settle for just salvation, when you have the desires of your heart right at your fingertips.

Ephesians 1:13 (KJV)
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise,

With the gift of salvation comes the seal of God which you receive immediately upon accepting Christ Jesus as our Lord and Savior. But there is so much more that God has to give to them that diligently seek him.

We know that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is so because Christ said so on several different occasions.

Matthew 3:11 (KJV)
11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

John is speaking about the authority, power and gift that Christ is capable of bestowing on us.

Acts 1:5 (KJV)
5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

Jesus is talking about baptism of the Holy spirit the comforter that he is sending to help us. This empowerment of the Holy Spirit. The baptism of the Holy Spirit. If you listen carefully he says and with fire.

We have always contributed the fire to power in the spirit. This is what you want to seek after, this is diligently seeking God, God give me this power, give unto me the authority to move mountains, your word says ask anything in my name and shall receive.

I want you to know that that verse is for you and for me that we can receive the things of God and the desires of our hearts but we have got to one more than just salvation of Jesus Christ.

When we confessed our faith in him he seal us with the Spirit of God, but now we want to seek God more diligently, we need to cry out to God shower me with that fire, let the power of Spirit run all over my life.

Moses knew but when he got baptized in God his entire disposition changed. The people of Israel could not even look upon his face anymore because the glory of God radiate from him.

Why settle for just a piece of the block when you can have the whole block. Ask whatever you ask in my name it shall be given.

Are we speaking with a sense of authority. It is past time of being timid in the lord it is time to spread forth the wings of faith and allow the manifestation of the Holy Spirit to overcome our lives and bring us to a new existence in Christ Jesus.

I say unto you today, seek the Lord diligently, you already have salvation, go after the power of the Holy Spirit, so you can speak to your circumstances, you can speak to other people’s circumstances, you want to be able to see immediate results in God.

It is possible to receive the desires of your heart, but there is an order in which these things can become manifestations of your life. This is why the word says seek you first the kingdom of God and all its righteousness than all the other things will be added unto you.
