Come out from among them

Passage: 1 John 2:3-4 3,1 John 3:6,2 Corinthians 6-14 thru 18

COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM

One of the greatest fallacies is man’s own ability to believe in his own capabilities. We have a strong tendency to believe that we can do things that others possible have not been able to do or fell short of doing. The natural course of life does not affect us!

Let Us Pray!

We are always talking about commandments, doctrines and rules to live by. We focus in on the way and manner God has prescribed for us to live. He has set a plan in order but it is us that tend to believe that the plan or directions do not necessarily apply unto us.

WHY DO WE THINK THIS WAY SHOULD BE A MILLION DOLLAR ANSWER

Who are we old man to think that God’s way of doing something is flawed in its application or conception. How arrogant of a people are we?

1 Cor 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

How do we show God that we love him? By abiding in the way of life that he has prescribe for us. Not the way of life that we have justified as acceptable for us. Than we compound this fallacy’s by saying God’s knows my heart and he knows I love him, and he knows my weakness and that I am trying. I have a great relationship with God.

1 John 2:3-4 3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 1 John 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

We are lying to ourselves when we think that we can do the things attached to this world and still be in fellowship with God. Yes you have a relationship, but it is not the relationship that has guaranteed your name written in the lamb’s book of life.

This casual attitude and mannerism about getting write with God is one that can only lead to self-destruction if one does not change. You do the same disappointing things day in and day out without any true intention on change. We cannot go on doing things that are sinful and think that we are living in the will of God.

I would love to tell you that it is acceptable to keep doing the things that you are doing and God is happy.

Let’s look at 1 John 3:6

I don’t care what you have been raise to believe, or what someone told you, or your own interpretation of the Word of God. In this word it states do not be deceived. If your fleshy body continues to have you do things that are not of God and that you know is not pleasing to God, then you are sinning. Straight cut and dry.

I am not going to sugar coat it, or try and dress it up to keep from hurting your feelings. It does not matter your age, if you know the difference between right and wrong than you are accountable to the way of God.

You need to start taking your life serious and the things that you are doing in your life serious. Your little habits you need to get them in check and find a way to get relieved of them instead of finding a way to justify them.

Opening Scripture: 2 Corinthians 6-14 thru 18

There are a couple of powerful verses in here that I need to focus in on. We tend to walk through this world thinking it’s all about you. Life is about you. Everything revolves around you. The things you do in life only affect you!

The word of God says do you not know that you are the temple of the living God.

I need you to see this that the holy spirit of God wants to live inside of you. The essence of Jesus almighty with you twenty four hours a day, 365 or 66 days of a year. God’s glory wants to fellowship with you.

But how can he? You desire to be attached to the negative things of this world, the whelms of this world, the vices of this world, the habits of this world. You are stuck on self and do not even recognize that you are. Because if you weren’t stuck on self then you would treat your body like the living temple of God that it is.

You would guard yourself against the things that you say, the things that you do, the things that you think, the things that you put in your body. You have a greater concern about getting your infections fixed so that you could stop living a lie and begin to live a truth in Christ Jesus.

Who wouldn’t want the only living God hosted with in them?

2 Cor 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

Psalms 106:35-36 But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works. 36 And they served their idols: which were a snare unto them.

1 Cor 15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
