Return To Your Frist Love

Passage: Matthew 13:1

RETURN TO YOUR FIRST LOVE

DO YOU STILL COURT CHRIST LIKE YOUR FIRST LOVE

My point of reference scripture today is the 13 chapter of Matthew

In order to return someplace or somewhere, you must first have visited or engaged with something.

This means that you had a relationship with God to some degree or on some level. The 2 of you were bestie!

But somewhere in the road of life something begins to change. Not necessary sure what you encounter, but I can guarantee you that something began to pull your concentration from God. You still told all your friends, yeah that’s my bestie, we still down, we still cool, I got much love, and you know all that old conversation.

Yeah to everyone around you, you presented this pseudi that everything between you and God is on the one.

DON’T GET ME WRONG I NOT TALKING ABOUT ANYBODY IN HERE.

CAUSE YOU KNOW WE ALL CLAIM WE GOT SAVED AT 20 AND NOTHING IN LIFE HAS DISTRACTED US FROM GOD.

YEAH RIGHT!!! IF YOU BELIEVE THAT THEN YOU HAVE NOT EXPERIENCE LIFE OR THE TRIALS OF LIFE.

Let me switch reels right quick, if you are saved and you are not being faced with trials, persecution, long suffering, challenges and whole bunch of other drama in your life you may need to check your salvation because I can pretty much guarantee everyone when you become part of God’s army, you are now in the battle of life with Satan. And his job is to seek and destroy you.

Yeah if you are one of those Christians and everything is peaches and roses and never know issues. You may need to spend some quality time in your closet alone talking directly to God about your relationship with him.

Let me get back on track, you had this relationship with God and trials of life began to wear you down. IN the 13 chapter of Matthew is the parable of the sower starting with the 19 verse Jesus begins to talk about the meaning of the sower and the receptence of the Word of God and depth of which it was planted in your life.

My question to you today is which territory were you in when you received the word, and which territory are you in right now in your life.

Where is the roots of your seed planted today. Is it time for you to get back on course with God, did something pull you away from God, did the cares of life and the pursuit of riches and ambition distract you from serving God to the fullest, is he first in your life.

It’s time that you get back on track begin to let go and let God be the head and not the go between.

I got to leave you now but in leaving where is your seed planted.
